Congratulations on a wonderful, poignant, enlightening film, Sue. You shed light on a part of Daniel’s life I did not know well. I had heard him speak about Bill Stringfellow often but I had never been able to put the Block Island period — or should I say state of mind? — in the context of Daniel’s poetry, his need for refuge and his love of the earth.
